We offer individual health insurance policies available through the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) on our affiliate site, My Health Insurance NC.
Having adequate life insurance is a good financial decision because it can:
- Provide income for dependents
- Help pay final expenses
- Create an inheritance for your heirs
- Help pay federal and state “death” taxes
- Allow you to make significant charitable contributions
- Create a source of savings
There are two major types of life insurance – term and whole life (also known as permanent). We offer a number of different term and whole life insurance options from an extensive list of carriers.
Long Term Care Insurance
Health insurance rarely pays for the cost of long-term care and Medicare usually doesn’t cover custodial care. Medicaid pays for the medical and long-term care expenses of people lacking financial resources, however if do not think you will qualify for Medicaid and won’t have the financial means to cover all your expenses, buying a long-term care insurance policy is a way to provide piece of mind and a sense of security for you and your family.
If you are over 65 and eligible for Medicare, you may also want to purchase a Medigap policy to supplement your Medicare coverage. Original Medicare pays for many, but not all, health care services and supplies. A Medigap policy, sold by private insurance companies, can help you pay some of the health care costs that Medicare doesn’t cover, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.
